A Liverpool business is leading the way in reducing environmental impact at major festivals by stocking a new oxygen
biodegradable plastic glass.
Catering and cleaning supplies firm ICS is one of the only stockists in the UK of the Plastico’s Flexy-Glass, which is made of 100% oxo-biodegradable material.
ICS believes that the new glass – which can degrade anywhere in oxygen – is a game changer for festivals and other major events in terms of eco credibility.
“The oxo-biodegradable glass really could change the environmental impact of festivals, not to mention costs of clean ups,” says Matt Dodgson, Managing Director of ICS.
“The green credentials from using a glass that degrades in the open air are huge and the reduction in clean up costs are attractive to event organisers.”
ICS is one of just a handful of UK stockists of the Flexy-Glass and is a strong supporter of eco products.
Matt added: “The impact on the environment is becoming so important for major businesses in terms of both cleaning and catering supplies. With changes to legal guidelines to various products in the industry, it’s important to us that we stock items that will help clients to be eco-friendly and sustain efficiencies.”
