Sainsbury’s was recognised at the Sustainability Leaders Awards with the Sustainable Building Award for it’s ‘Triple Zero’
Sainsbury’s was recognised with the Sustainable Building Award for its ‘Triple Zero’ concept to create stores that have zero water impact, zero operational carbon and send zero waste to landfill. This concept can be seen in the retailer’s Leicester and Weymouth stores which work with the local community to achieve these goals.
This award highlights Sainsbury’s dedication to sustainability, along with its famous Cannock store which is powered by anaerobic digestion, showing the retailer is truly moving to be a Sustainability Leader and continually looking to improve its sustainability.
In addition this commitment is reinforced by this being the third consecutive year that Sainsbury’s has been recognised for its commitment to sustainability with a Sustainability Leaders Award.
The Sustainability Leaders Awards are held annually to recognise large and small business’s success in embedding sustainable business within their operations.
